Click on Print Page to print the current page. Opens the Print dialog, where you can select the printer, and the paper size and orientation.
Click on Clear History List to clear the history list and to delete all temporary cache files, except for the current page.
Click on Exit to close the Libraries Directory application.
Click on Search/Browse Tools to show or hide the Search and Browse tools on the left-hand side of the main window.
Click on Status Bar to show or hide the Status Bar at the bottom of the main window.
Click on Options to open the Options dialog. This allows you to set your personal options for the application, including email and internet preferences, and to enter your password when upgrading from the Reference Version to the Marketing Version. It also allows you to set your own security or administrator password to restrict access to selected facilities.
Click on Advanced Search to open the Advanced Search dialog. This allows you to create and save complex queries. You can build queries to search the Directory indexes, or you can perform searches of the text of the entries themselves.
Available only in the Marketing Version. In the Reference Version, this menu is hidden.
Click on Create Mailing List to open the Create Mailing List dialog. This allows you to compile and save mailing lists, to edit and customise them, and to print out address labels and perform mail merges (both print and email). If the currently displayed page is a specific entry or a page that displays a list of entries, such as a Main Index page or a Search Results page, then you can use the entry or entries as your source of addresses for the new list.
Click on Open Mailing List to open the Open Mailing List dialog. This allows you to edit existing mailing lists, and to print out address labels and perform mail merges as before. If no mailing lists are currently saved, then this menu item is disabled.
Click on Back to move to the previous page in the History List.
Click on Forward to move to the next page in the History List.
Click on Introduction to move to the Introduction page.
Click on Contents to move to the Contents page.
Click on Index of Acronyms to move to the Index of Acronyms page.
Click on Add Bookmark to add the current page to your list of bookmarks.
Click on Show Bookmarks to open the Bookmarks dialog, from which you can go directly to any previously bookmarked page.
Click on Help Contents to open the Libraries Directory Help file at the main contents page.
Click on Online Guide to the Directory to open your web browser and navigate directly to the Online Guide.
Click on James Clarke & Co Web Site to open your web browser and navigate directly to the publisher's web site.
Click on Email James Clarke & Co Ltd to send an email to the publishers.
Click on About the Libraries Directory CD-ROM to open the About dialog. This displays information about the application, including the number of days left before the Marketing Version license expires.
Many of the most commonly used menu items can be accessed by moving the mouse pointer over the display window and clicking the right mouse button. A Short Cut menu pops up, which includes the following options: back and forwards navigation; run a search; print the current page; create a mailing list (Marketing Version only); bookmark the current page; and show list of bookmarks.
